Training
Objective:
- To Create awareness in HIV / AIDS and behavioral changes among Medical personnel towards PLWHA.
- To train in prevention and control of HIV / AIDS
- To know about the utilizing of VCTCs / PPTCTs / STD Clinics
- TOT Training to NGOs – Programme implementing for High Risk Groups / Core Groups
- To train about Care and Support for PLWHA
TRAINING CURRICULUM

Medical Personnel: Epidemiology, Virology, Clinical features and diagnosis, managements, PEP, universal precautions and hospital waste management, social and ethical problem are to be included for better knowledge about human diseases.

NGOs: Basics of Learning, Pre-Training Planning, PLA Training Methodologies, Measuring Plan, Intervention and Implementation strategy. Training Manual and training Calendar prepared for 2005-2006 in respect of training to Peer Educators
Training Manual for Doctors, Peer Educators and Para Medical Staff are to be prepared and distributed during the training session.
Resources persons: Professors and Head of Virology of MMC, SMC, KMC and other specialists. Specialist in TOT for NGOs

- NGOs – TOT – Project Co-ordinators, Councilors, Peer Educators

Medical Personnel – Doctors, Specialists, Zonal Medical Officers, Medical Officers, CRRIs, Govt. Doctors – P.G. Students in Medical Colleges, Private Practitioners, Nurses, Multipurpose workers, Lab Technicians, Councilors, Para Medical Staff
The total fund allotted for the training programme for 2005-2006 is Rs.27.04 Lakhs. |
