Kerala Scores Against HIV

To remove the myths around HIV, and the stigma that results from it, it is important to highlight that even after acquiring HIV, individuals live meaningful lives. An exhibition football match was organized by Kerala State AIDS Control Society, which was inaugurated in the presence of Bency and Benson, the two HIV positive children who at one time had been thrown out of school on account of their HIV infection. The match, which had members from the Council of people Living with HIV in Kerala, as well as several ministers and senior bureaucrats, was a perfect example of a unified multi sectoral response.
