Bollywood takes up HIV/AIDS Issue

NACO organized a special screening of the full length commercial film- ‘Phir Milenge’, the first ever Bollywood venture that has attempted mainstreaming HIV/ AIDS into the social fabric as portrayed through cinema. Ms Revathy, the director of the film was felicitated on the occasion. The film, starring Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan, very sensitively depicts the stigma and discrimination faced by an HIV positive woman, and how she overcomes the stigma to emerge a stronger person.
