	Drop in centre for PLHA ( People living with HIV/AIDS) in Chennai : The drop in centre has been set up to provide the five basic needs of people living with HIV/AIDS in Chennai. They are: Knowledge Services Provide information, Knowledge and awareness on Care and Support services for people infected and affected by HIV/ AIDS. Information Centre-cum-library serving as a resource center foe enhancing the knowledge and awareness base of PLHA in various fields. Films and audios on HIV/AIDS related topics Education services Training programs on Positive Living on various topics building the capacities of PLHA with a focus on skills building. Medical Services Treatment literacy for ARV and Opportunistic Infections (OIs) for PLHA Referral services through existing and new linkages to medical services provided. Psychosocial Services Provision of professional counseling services Home and hospital visits for PLHA Provision of referral and guidance services Establishing linkage with other service providers Support services Organizing Support Group Meetings, which provide a platform for PLHA to discuss among themselves their experiences in a warm, congenial and cordial atmosphere without any fear of stigma or discrimination through total confidentiality.
