Target Intervention (TI) Components:

Behavior Change Communication:
These are the activities aimed to provide information to change or modify their risky behavior to non-risky behaviors. A variety of methods were used for behavior change communication.

1. One to one interaction
2. Group education session
3. Peer education
4. Counseling
5. Use of folk media

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) Treatment Services

The treatment of STDs is one of the important components in target interventions. The presence of STDs not only increases the risk of HIV infections but also the risk of acquiring HIV. The STDs care could be from the Government or private sector.

Enabling Environment:
Environment needs to be supportive for behavior modification. Enabling environment involves assessment of the structure of the environment i.e. political, social, economic factors, which contributes to the vulnerability of the target population and addresses the need of the target population.

Condom Promotion

The objective of the condom program is to ensure easy access to good quality, affordable condoms to promote the safe sex encounters.
The condoms are available under the following schemes

1. Free distribution scheme
